MBRC are planning an Easter Camp at Mt Buller on Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th April, 2021 and is part of a plan to put on similar events in Melbourne and elsewhere through the next calendar year for the benefit of members.
In order to further plan for this event and ascertain if there is a desire from our membership for this type of event we are asking those that are interested in attending to complete this EOI survey by 5th March 2021. Please also respond in the EOI about the question relating to Queens Birthday Weekend 2021.
The camp will be free for MBRC athletes signed up in a 2021 program and does not include accomodation of athletes any hire charges relating to equipment required to participate in events..
In attendance will be Program Director Richard Haslau, SX Head Coach Joe Draxl and Lead U16 Coach Jessica Haslau. Rhys Artridge from Snow Performance has tentatively confirmed his attendance also.
The overall theme of the camp is to provide a fun event with team building and an educational component built in and is a chance for the club athletes and members to get together.
Examples of the daily events:
Dryland at sports hall or outside
Bike riding - Age and ability level dependant (Delatite river trail, Epic Trail maybe for older athletes)
BBQ Lunch/Dinner
Navigation Run
Treasure hunt (Younger athletes)
Airzone (If open)
We will also require some parent volunteer help to assist in running the camp in areas such as mountain bike riding/transport, BBQ and clubhouse works (carpet removal) - Many hands make light work !
As a guide, we plan to run 1.5 - 2 hour morning and afternoon sessions with a BBQ lunch on the final day to finish off before we rip up the carpet in the coach accommodation.
