2020 MBRC TRIALS INVITATION
Registrations have now closed for the MBRC trials - if you are interested in joining Mt Buller Race Club tomorrow for trials please email us at info@mtbullerraceclub.com.au with name of athlete, YOB and alpine or snowboard and if you are currently in a squad program who your coach is.
Once we recieve your email we will confirm with you by 8.30am tomorrow morning.
The trials will be held at The Chute ski run at 10am but you must have sent an email prior to attending.
At Mt Buller Race Club we provide seasonal race training programs for snowboarders and alpine skiers, a clearly structured pathway, excellent training infrastructure and highly qualified international and local coaches. Our programs are closely linked to Ski & Snowboard Australia and we deliver programs from the development level up to Australian National Ski Team level.
If you are an AMBITIOUS, MOTIVATED and TALENTED skier or boarder, then Mt Buller Race Club wants to be part of your development.
How to become a team member of MBRC in 2020?
We need to assess your skill level in order to recommend a suitable program for 2020 Mt Buller season. Please come and show us your skills! A week after the assessment we will report back to you via email with our recommendations.
MBRC will be accepting alpine athletes from YOB
2012 and for snowboard YOB 2011.
You are required to SIGN UP ONLINE FOR FREE
ASSESSMENT ALPINE: SATURDAY, 24/08/2019, 10-12am
ASSESSMENT SNOWBOARD: SATURDAY, 24/08/2019, 1-2pm
For those that are in a Squad group, it is expected that these athletes will ski/board through the trial run with their Squad groups. There will be one run through and this will take approximately fifteen minutes. Location and meeting places will be confirmed closer to the date.
Equipment: Come in your normal ski/board gear and wear a helmet. Ideally come with your GS skis or freeride board, or what you feel most comfortable on.
Assessment tasks: Alpine
1. Traverse to each side with a hop over a blue line in the middle of the traverse.
2. Ten short turns
3. One Hockey stop to your preferred side.
Assessment tasks: Snowboard
1. Ten carve turns and then ten short turns
2. Ride in an aligned balanced position
3. Come to a controlled stop on your toe edge and your heel edge
